Habit
Glossy deep-purple and vibrant green basal leaves, adorned with striking white midrib and veins. These exceptionally large leaves can grow up to an impressive 2 feet in length, making them an ornamental focal point in the veggie garden.

Sun/Soil
Full sun to part sun, well-drained fertile garden soil.

Sowing
Seeds germinate within 10 days once the soil has reached 21C. Can be direct sown once soil has warmed or started a few weeks early and transplanted out. Seeds can also be sown in late summer for a fall crop.

Growing/Care 
Bolt resistant variety.

Harvesting
Harvesting can be done by gathering outer leaves of plants individually.

Culinary Uses
The leaves are quite mild when young and can be eaten fresh in salads, they get spicier as the leaves grow bigger or the weather warms.
